External Agencies

Where the pupil’s needs cannot be adequately met with in-house expertise, staff will consider involving an external specialist as soon as possible.

The school recognises that it won’t be able to meet all the needs of every pupil and has previously worked alongside a number of external agencies to enhance provision. These have included, but are not limited to:

• North Yorkshire SEND Hub – Communication and Interaction. Cognition and Learning, SEMH, Vision and Hearing support
• Speech and language therapists
• Specialist teachers or support services
• Educational psychologists
• Occupational therapists, or physiotherapists
• General practitioners or paediatricians
• Child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS)
• Social services
