On Tuesday 5th March, the children in Year 2 have the opportunity to take part in a trip to Abbey House Museum.
To consolidate next half-term’s key question, ‘What came before us?’, the children will take part in a workshop at the museum called ‘House and Homes’. The children will be transported back to the 19th century and stroll the Victorian streets with the authentically recreated shops, pub and houses. During the workshop, the children will handle a range of artefacts that could be found around the Victorian home.
We will open the doors at 8:45 a.m. to register the children and leave promptly at 9:15 a.m. We will return to school for normal pick-up time of 3:20 p.m. Please provide your children with a packed lunch for those who normally have one. Children who normally receive a school dinner will be provided with a packed lunch by school. The children must wear school uniform and sensible shoes.
