Tim Broad
Headteacher
I qualified as a teacher in 1988 and spent the first 11 years of my career teaching in north-east London. I moved to Harrogate and began working at Western in September 1999. Initially appointed as KS2 Group Leader, I became Deputy Head in 2003 and have been privileged to work with a huge number of talented and dedicated colleagues in the past twenty years.
I have one child at university and one at Harrogate Grammar school, both of whom also spent time at Western. Outside of school I enjoy a range of activities which get me outside enjoying fresh air and exercise. My other interests include Port Vale Football Club, Land Rovers and gardening.
